Ri Bhoi postpones house listings, NPR exercise

SHILLONG, Mar 17:  Meghalaya's Ri Bhoi district Deputy Commissioner RM Kurbah has informed that house listing and NPR exercise scheduled from April 1 has been postponed and since the period of enlisting is up to September 2020 a suitable date will be notified later. This step is taken up as preventive measures for coronavirus.
Besides closure of all educational institutions, children of all the villages in the district are also not allowed to go to the Anganwadi centres to collect food items under the ICDS schemes.
All government and public functions under Ri Bhoi district have been also postponed in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak in India and the world.
Kurbah informed that no coronavirus has been detected.
“The training and other awareness activities may be postponed till the situation returns to normalcy. This is to enable key officials of the district administration to attend to preparedness and awareness measures relating to coronavirus, she added.
