The thoughts you make are with the conscious mind, and there won’t be any memory in it. The conscious mind can make only one thought at one time. It may be a positive thought or a negative thought, but cannot be both the thoughts at a time. While making the choice, your conscious mind takes two types of freedom. It can accept or reject the information that is coming from outside.
On the other hand, the subconscious mind is like a big memory bank. Its capacity is unlimited. All the incidents that occur in our lives are installed forever. The subconscious mind never takes independent decisions but accepts the commands of the conscious mind and implements them. The conscious mind like a gardener and the subconscious mind is like a garden fertile soil.
Whatever seeds the gardener sows, those types of plants will be grown. So in the life of garden, the subconscious mind can breed flowers or weeds. The result depends upon the seeds sown by your conscious mind. Continue to plant the wonderful seeds (thoughts) in the garden of your mind; you will reap a glorious harvest. As a matter of facts, when the subconscious mind accepts the command, it motivates your thoughts and deeds to fulfil your desire.
It also slowly builds up confidence in you and makes you a better person. To achieve success and happiness in your life, every thought and every action of yours has to lead you towards the goal. Once a Greek Philosopher, Socrates said,’ if you really want to reach Mount Olympus, make sure every step has to go in the same direction.         According to Survey, an ordinary man who is his complete life span is utilising only 10% of his capabilities. Even one of the famous intellectuals of the 20th century, Sir Albert Einstein has also utilised only 15% of his mental capabilities, a research study confirmed examining his brain after death.
Here is an amazing story behind Einstein’s Genius. One day some scientists met Einstein and asked his permission to examine his brain after his death. He accepted their request with small condition. The condition was that he wanted to place a letter in a sealed cover which was to be opened only after receiving the report prepared on his brain examination. Later, Einstein passed away.
Scientists conducted a thorough examination of his brain and prepared a report, and then they remembered his letter and opened it before all. There were two sentences written in Einstein’s own handwriting: First sentence – “You have examined my brain? My brain has nine billion cells like other human brains.” Second sentence- “I alone know what the difference between others and am.”
When the scientists read those two sentences, they were astonished. Actually, what Einstein intended to say was that he had the same brain what others have, but the only difference was that he had sharpened it with constant use, logical thinking and experimentation? That is why intellectuals say that if you want to become a Genius, you need 80% perspiration, and 10% inspiration. Perspiration means- determination, attention, efforts, sincerity and hard work to reach goal.
In the history from the first man to modern man, nobody resembles alike. It is impossible to look alike. So, you are a very special person, isn’t it? As a special person, you can also do some special things that are impossible to others. It is a fact that only very few people in the world are born with extraordinary talents. You have to accept that many of you start your life with normal wisdoms, talents and capabilities.
Majority of the people- both male and female achieved success in the special field they choose, only by improving their normal talents with hard work. You cannot achieve such sort of success if you sat in a corner lazily without putting any efforts. So identify your capabilities and talents, analyse them and then try to achieve success through improving them. There is an equation regarding the Potentiality of Person.
(Talents + Skills) x Attitude = Potentiality performed by you. It’s simply,
=> (T + S) x A = P where ‘T’ stands your talent acquired by genetically from your ancestors and parents. ‘S’ stands your skill acquired through your education and experiences.  ‘A’ stands for your attitude which is under the direct control of your mind or will. Attitude is nothing but your way of approach towards the life. Your attitude is the mirror of your character. The people around you will respond according to your attitude. ‘P’ is the potentiality performed by you. This equation is also known as Positive Mental Attitude Equation.
In physics, Newton’s first law of motion is: “A body at rest tends to remain at rest, and a body in motion tends to remain in motion, unless acted upon by an outside force.”  So also, all your habitual actions and thoughts work according to this theory. Unless some outside force controls you, you will behave in the same old manner. To change your behaviour and thoughts you have to take some strict decisions.
According to Shakespeare-”There is no good or no evil in the world only it is our thinking.” So, if you can change thoughts, you can change your life. You should always remember that you are the ‘creator’ of your life. You will write your own future. This will influence your lifestyle, attitude and quality of life. The person one who takes self responsibility achieves perfect maturity.
All success stories are stories of great failures. The only difference is that every time they failed, they bounced back. This is called failing forward, rather than backward. You learn move forward. Learn from failure and keep going.
To achieve success in your life, you have to accept failures and acknowledge failures are the stepping stones to success. It is impossible to achieve without failures. In fact, these two- success and failure are the two faces of a coin. The most successful things in the world are achieved only through failures.
It is encouraging to know about Thomas Alva Edison who is the most prolific inventor in history. He is credited with numerous inventions. He failed thousands of times before he revolutioned the world by inventing and patenting the incandescent light bulb, because of his desire to create the incandescent light.
This is common story that circulates about “Success and Failure”. It has been reported that Edison failed 5,000 times before perfecting the first electric bulb. On one occasion, a young journalist challenged Edison saying to him-‘ Mr Edison why do you keep trying to make light using electricity when you have failed so many times? Don’t you know that gas lights are with us to stay? To this, Edison replied, “Young man, don’t you realise that I have not failed but have successful discovered 6,000 ways that won’t work. In the light of this story, failure is like a signpost that guides you in correct decision. In any failure, there will be 30% adverse conditions and 70% defects of that person. In some situations, failures occurs cent percent because of the defects of the person.
These defects are like lack of self confidence, lack of determination and effort, to depress quality, pessimistic attitude, unable to set goal etc. Whenever you face failure, don’t get depressed. It is not the quality of the wise. The person who blame himself for the failure and who possess self pity, will not grow up in his life. Setbacks are inevitable.
A setback can act as a driving force and teach us humility. You will find courage and faith to overcome the setback. Learn to become victors, not victims.
You should have clear cut goal in the aspects of where you are now and where you want to go in your life, then it will be easier for you to take decisions. Goals are like fuels that light the fire of achievements.
The person without goals is like a ship travelling in the sea without compass going in different directions and facing the problems.
With the help of the map and compass, the captain of the ship moves the ship in a straight way towards the shore and reaches safely.
A person who leads a normal life without any achievement or goals can’t be happy or contended even if he has all the comforts. Life seems dull to him. What you are today and in what you are to be -everything depends upon your thoughts, your actions and your behaviour. No power in this world will stop you without achieving your goals unless you have a burning desire.
So, it is important to have a goal in your life. By setting goals, your life will become meaningful and it also gives a value to your life.
Lastly, God, our creator, has stored within your minds and personalities, great potential strength and ability. The person who has a burning desire will definitely win. Success is not like a restaurant where you pay the bill after eating what all you want to eat.
To achieve success you have to pay the complete penalty as an advance second to second according to the need. The life you are enjoying today is the result for what you have paid in the past. So, also the life you enjoy in the future will also depend upon the price you pay today. It is your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.
