Kankhu Athletic FC vs Japhou YC in Cdl 2nd Divn League final showdown

IMPHAL, Mar 4 : Kankhu Athletic FC will lock horns with Japhou YC for the crown of the ADC Chandel Trophy Second Division Football League 2019-20 being organised by District Sports Association Chandel at Liwa Sarei Football ground.
Kankhu Athletic FC ran riot against Paraolon YC to notch up a 7-0 win the first semi-final match to cruise into the final. W Thumwahring made the most of the scoring with three goals in his name while HB Mission was on target twice to ensure Kankhu Athletic FC the huge 7-0 victory.
Kankhu Athletic FC started strongly and took a 5-0 lead till the break with W Strongam scoring the opener in the 11th minute. WL Thumwahring struck the team's second and his first in the 16th minute and PS Samuel and HB Mission added a goal each in the 24th and the 28th minute respectively to keep the scoreboard ticking. Thumwahring then scored the team's fifth in the 35th minute to make it 5-0 till the break.
Paraolon YC continued to plunge further after the restart as HB Mission struck his second to hand Kankhu Athletic FC a 6-0 lead before Thumwahring completed his treble in the 57th minute and the 7-0 rout to enter final.
Meanwhile in the second semi-final match, Japhou YC rode on Allwinson double to clinch a 3-0 cleansheet against Khongjon YC.
Kh Allwinson broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute to help Japhou YC take a 1-0 lead before his team mate Sh Alfred scored in the 32nd minute to make it 2-0 till the break.
Kh Allwinson then rounded off the scoring one minute into the stoppage time (80+1') and helped Japhou YC cap a 3-0 finish.
