UVSA-A vs FLAM in K Yaima Memorial Veteran Football final

IMPHAL, Mar 6 : FLAM, Yaiskul beat FC Imphal 2-1 to set up final date of the ongoing 8th K Yaima Memorial Veteran Football Tournament-2020 with UVSA-A, Lilong Chajing which thumped KVFA, Kakching 3-1 in another semi-final match today at XI Star Sporting Union ground, Akampat.
In the first semi-final match of the tournament, KVFA, Kakching enjoyed a 1-0 first half lead thanks to K Sanjit's goal in the 9th minute but N Mocha pulled level for UVSA-A in the 46th minute before Kh Sanaton completed the turnaround with a brilliant finish in the 59th minute.
To their delight, Kh Upen scored during the stoppage time (60+1') to make it 3-1 at the end.
Meanwhile FLAM, rode on goals by Kamei on the either side of the break to beat FC Imphal 2-1 and confirmed their place in the final.
Kamei put FLAM 1-0 ahead with his strike in the 16th minute but FC Imphal made their way back into the game by scoring the equaliser via N Hemachandra two minutes into the second half (32'). The two sides worked hard to break the deadlock as the score was brought to level and after exchanging few runs, Kamei was on the target again to help FLAM regain the lead after 53rd minutes.
The Yaiskul side then held on to their lead till the final whistle to complete the final line up.
