SHILLONG, Apr 21: Following concerns from residents of Garo Hills after the notification that converted the Tura Civil Hospital into a full-fledged COVID-19 hospital, a new notification has empanelled the Tura Christian Hospital and the Holy Cross Hospital for all general patients, including emergency cases.
In this regard, the Superintendent, Tura Civil Hospital, informed on Tuesday that since Tura Civil Hospital has been notified and converted into a COVID-19 Hospital with effect from April 20 for focused treatment of any suspected and infected case of COVID-19 patients, all general patients including emergency cases will now be seen at Christian Hospital and Holy Cross. Further, since the two hospitals mentioned above are empanelled for MHIS, the patients can avail the MHIS facilities in these hospitals. Those patients without MHIS cards can make a new card to avail the MHIS facility instantly at the respective private hospitals.
Moreover, if the patients at the private hospitals need specialized consultations, the authority of the respective private hospitals can call the specialist of Tura Civil Hospital who will attend to the patients.
