NSCN (IM) hideout busted

 The Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and Nagaland Police, in a joint operation, busted a hideout of Naga separatist group National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN-IM) in Nagaland's Mon district.
The temporary hideout of NSCN (IM) was busted near the Longting area in Mon district on Sunday evening.
Based on a specific input regarding setting up of a temporary hideout by the NSCN (IM) militants, a search operation was launched by the troops in the area. During the search operation, a temporary hideout comprising of a living area with 8-10 beds and a kitchen was busted by the security forces.
The troops also recovered ration, utensils, and other ancillaries from the camp. The hideout was destroyed in the presence of police representatives.
The items recovered from the camp were handed over to the Tizit Police Station and an FIR was lodged for violation of the Ceasefire Ground Rules by NSCN (IM) for further investigations.
Meanwhile, security forces also apprehended two active cadres of NSCN (K-YA) near the Yoching area in the Mon district of Nagaland.
Based on specific inputs, the troops Assam Rifles and the Indian Army launched a joint operation in the area and apprehended two militants identified as Kabato Sema and Lokivi Sema.
The troops also recovered one point 32 mm pistol, 10-point 32 mm live rounds, and Rs 25,000 in cash.
The apprehended militants along with recovered items were handed over to the Mon Police Station for further investigation.
