MPCC appeals

IMPHAL, Apr 3: Deeply concerned with the stress particularly among the poor, widows, daily wage earners and other workers, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee has appealed the State to release pending wages of the beneficiaries under different schemes. In a statement today, MPCC said that the due wages job card holders, yearly pension of widows, old age, differently abled persons, sanitation workers in Municipalities, district councils, small towns and Nagar Panchayats etc be paid at the earliest to alleviate their financial condition during the lockdown. It also demanded that the monthly ration quota of daily wage earners and labourers be increased by 50 percent for the period of COVID-19 pandemic.
