Nemcha Kipgen chairs review meet at Kangpokpi DHQs

KANGPOKPI, Apr 2: Social Welfare and Cooperation Minister Nemcha Kipgen, who is in-charge of Kangpokpi and Senapati District along with the Districts Nodal Officer, M  Harekrishna attended a review meeting which discusses modality to evolve Standard Operating Procedure in the various activities and measures carried out to combat the deadly COVID-19 pandemic and to ensure smooth supply and transport of essential commodities to the people in the district.
Lalithambigai Kalidas, DC Kangpokpi, Hemant Pandey,  SP Kangpokpi, Dr J Touthang, Chief Medical Officer, Kangpokpi along with AC to DC Kangpokpi, Kaigoulal Kipgen attended the review meet chaired by Nemcha Kipgen at Conference Hall, DC office, Kangpokpi. Somorjit Salam, DC Senapati, M Pradip Singh, SP Senapati and Dr N Dihe Mao, MS cum CMO Senapati also attended the review meeting.
The Minister-in-charge of the two districts, Nemcha Kipgen said that various activities and measures are being taken up to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in both the districts and to ensure smooth supply and transport of essential commodities to the people.
“The preparedness of the two districts to fight the deadly COVID-19 is far so good”, said the Minister while adding that we need to be in tip-top in every angle of our preparedness to contain the spread of the highly contagious COVID-19 in the State.
While discussing the modality to evolve Standard Operating Procedure in various activities and efforts to combat the pandemic COVID-19 in both the districts, it has been decided that a quarantine centre shall be set up at Mao.
The Minister continued that stamping for all home quarantine persons shall be made mandatory and stringent action shall be initiated to any violators of the home quarantine guidelines.
Mao Gate will now be opened at 4 am and closed at 7 pm. the Minister said.
She further said that one more check post shall be opened at Kangpokpi DHQs for double-checking of the exempted vehicles.
