Digital study materials likely soon

IMPHAL, Apr 3: In view  of the country-wide lockdown triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, School Education Department has launched an initiative to make study materials accessible to students through digital platforms.
School Education Director Th Kirankumar said that the new initiative is aimed at ensuring that students study during the lockdown period as well as afterward.
Teachers working under School Education Department have been working to make study materials available to students reading in classes I to XII through digital platforms and they would be made available shortly, said the Director.
The department has also been considering about organising academic competitions for students after study materials are provided through digital platforms, Kirankumar mentioned.
He said that the department has already launched a project of digitising school textbooks.
