Border fencing works interrupted

Moreh, Apr 4 : A border fencing work initiated by District Administration Tengnoupal near Border Pillar No 77 along the India-Myanmar border stretch was halted for a while due to interruption from Myanmar Police and Myanmar Army.
The fencing work to fill porous portion keeping in view of the COVID-19 fear was led by Tengnoupal District Police SP, Th Vikramjit; ASP (ops) Tengnoupal, Th Krishnatombi; ASP (ops), Moreh M Amit; OC Dilip Kumar and officials of Manipur Rifles, 3 IRB, Assam Rifles and BRTF.
The officials from Myanmar stopped the fencing work stating that it was disputed land. However, after an understanding was brought between the two sides, the fencing work resumed.
