COVID-19: Delhi Liangmai community forms task force

IMPHAL, Apr 4: The Liangmai community in Delhi/NCR has formed a committee christened as 'COVID-19 Liangmai Delhi/NCR Joint Task Committee' which was necessitated owing to the prevailing situation. Ever since its formation on March 25, the Joint Task Force has been rendering whatever service it can extend to those people from the community who need help in the wake of the COVID-19 issue.
"With the outbreak of COVID-19 and sudden 21 days Nationwide lockdown, many Liangmai students and family members are stranded in Delhi/NCR areas," said the committee on Saturday. "In these trying times, Liangmai Ruangdi Delhi/NCR (LR Delhi/NCR), Liangmai Christian Fellowship Delhi (LCFD) and Liangmai Katina Ruangdi Delhi (LKRD) have collaborated and formed “ COVID-19 Liangmai Delhi/NCR Joint Task Committee” to assist Liangmai community members in Delhi/NCR," it added. The committee then appealed to the community members to respect the Nationwide lockdown and stay at their respective homes. "Be prepare but do not panic. In case of emergencies, please reach out to the helpline numbers +91- 9958871271 (LCFD Pastor Kaikho Wijunamai), +91-9599770617 & +91-9315170955 (LKRD president Tingsangpibou Abonmai) the Joint Task Committee will be there to assist," said the committee.
Meanwhile, the Liangmai Ruangdi Delhi (LRD) appealed all the "Liangmai people from all walks of life living in Delhi to kindly cooperate" in the ongoing data collection process.
"We request all members to kindly register yourself at the earliest," it further appealed.
"In such times of distress and compelling situations LRD would like to reach out to you for any assistance required and also keep track of our valuable members in the city. Therefore, we request parents, pastors and other concerned authorities to kindly to give in the names of your children, members and villagers," it added.
