Joykumar takes over Forest, MAHUD

IMPHAL, Apr 4: Deputy Chief Minister Y Joykumar  who is in charge of Science & Technology and Economics and Statistics departments have been given additional portfolios of MAHUD and Forest, Environment & Climate Change with effect from today.
Following the disqualification of Th Shyamkumar  from the memebrship of Manipur Legislative Assembly last month, Chief Minister N Biren took over the charges of MAHUD, Horticulture & Soil Conservation and Forest, Environment & Climate Change which were earlier held by Th Shyamkumar.
According to an order issued by Chief Secretary Dr J Suresh Babu, MAHUD and Forest, Environment & Climate Change departments have been allotted to Y Joykumar in addition to the departments of which he is already in-charge.
The same order allotted Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department to Chief Minister N Biren who is also in charge of Home, Personnel, Planning, GAD, Vigilance, Transport, Minor Irrigation, Sericulture, Tourism, Minority Affairs, OBC &SC, Information Technology and Finance.
