Cases rise to 74,281

NEW DELHI, May 13 : Total coronavirus cases in India has crossed the 74,000-mark while COVID 19 death toll is over 2400 in the country. As per the data shared by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India now are 74,281, with 47,480 active cases and 24,385 cured/discharged patients. As many as 2415 people have died and one was migrated.
The recovery rate in the country stands at 31 per cent, Health Ministry official said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has hinted that lockdown may be extended beyond May 17. However, there may be some more relaxations to States. Meanwhile, Indian Railways has resumed passenger train operations on select routes. Talks are going on whether domestic flight service will also be started after May 17.
