Assam records third death

GUWAHATI, May 18 : Assam recorded its third COVID-19 death after a 71-year-old patient admitted in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) died on Monday morning, informed Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The patient- Gopindra Chandra Malakar- had returned from Mumbai and was suffering from neck cancer along with COVID-19. He died owing to respiratory disease, Sarma further informed. The number of COVID-19 cases in Assam now stands at 102 with three deaths, 56 active and 41 patients being discharged from hospital. NE Now
