Over 400 return to Mizoram on Sunday

AIZAWL, May 24: Over 400 stranded people have returned to Mizoram from Telangana on Sunday by a special train.
According to an official who is taking part on the issue, altogether 475 people have reached Bairabi railway station at 8:40 am. From there, 32 buses arranged by the State government picked the people and dropped them to their respective districts after screening them. The official said that the stranded people were received at the railway station by Kolasib district deputy commissioner H. Lalthlangliana, Kolasib superintendent of police Vanlalfaka Ralte and other officials. Majority of the people returned to Mizoram are from Aizawl district with 216 in number, 41 from Champhai district, 30 from Lunglei district, 25 from Khawzawl district, 40 from Kolasib district, 29 from Serchhip district, 35 from Siaha district, 22 from Mamit district, 23 from Lawngtlai district, 12 from Saitual district and 2 from Hnahthial district.
