More donate to CM's relief fund

Bpr/Imp, May 29 :  Road Side Vendor Welfare Association Khwairamband Keithel, Imphal has donated Rs 70,000 towards Chief Minister's COVID-19 Relief Fund.
The association donated the amount through CM's Secretary N Geoffrey.
The amount was contributed by members of the association to aid State fight the disease.
"Even though, we are facing immense difficulties with the market shut down, it is our duty and responsibility to help and assist the State and health authorities fight COVID-19, said its members.
On the other hand, the Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association donated Rs 1 lakh to CM COVID-19 Relief Fund on Thursday.
The amount was handed over to the Chief Minister N Biren Singh by Y Mangi, president of Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association.
Battalion Commanders of Home Guards Md Rashimuddin, Md Abdulhai, Md Yakup Ali and others were present during the solemn function.
It may be recalled that the Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association had earlier donated Rs 2 lakh to the CM COVID-19 Relief Fund.
Chief Minister N Biren Singh expressed profound gratitude to the Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association for donating to the CM Covid-19 Relief Fund.
The Haipi Baptist Church also donated Rs 30,000 to the CM COVID Relief Fund on Wednesday.
The amount was handed over to Chief Minister N Biren by Paoginmang, secretary Haipi Village; Thangminlien, former Minister and president of  NPP Manipur and Lunkholal, Pastor, Haipi Baptist Church.
During the event, Haipi Youth Club president Khuplenlal and former Horticulture Department, Director Kailonlien Kipgen were also present.
