Stop stigmatizing returnees: CPI

IMPHAL, May 29 Taking note of the ever-increasing cases of COVID-19 in the State, Communist Party of India, Manipur State Council (CPI-MSC) has appealed to the State Government to routinely inspect the quarantine facilities opened in the State to win the trust of the public.
A press release issued by L Sotinkumar Singh, State secretary CPI-MSC also appealed the general public to refrain from stigmatizing people who returned from different States.
He further appealed to the public to follow the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the State Government and at the same time exercise regularly to strengthen their immune system.
Every returnee should be lodged at institutional quarantine centres run by the State Government, he suggested adding that the Government should also initiate measures to make food items widely available in the State.
