6 more test positive

Shillong, May 29: Six more people who have returned to Meghalaya after being stranded in other parts of the country tested positive for Covid-19 on Friday, reports NNN.
Out of these, two are females taking the total number of active cases of to 14 in Meghalaya.
Meghalaya Chief Minister, Conrad Sangma informed on Friday that the six returnees include three from South West Garo Hills, and one each from West Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills and West Khasi Hills.
“They had come from Maharashtra, Bangalore, West Bengal and Chennai. All are under quarantine and are asymptomatic,” Sangma tweeted.
West Khasi Hills and South West Garo Hills are the two newest districts which have recorded positive Covid-19 cases.
With these latest detection, Meghalaya has recorded 27 Covid-19 cases, of which 12 have recovered and one died.
Meanwhile, samples of 7,340 individuals have been sent for testing, out of which, 6,899 have reported to be negative while the test results of 420 samples were awaited.
