Four more test positive,

IMPHAL, May 29: Three more individuals were tested positive for COVID-19 last night while another tested positive at RIMS today taking the total number of active cases to 52 while two were discharged today.
This takes the total number of positive cases in the State to 59 and the total number of recovered cases to 7, leaving 52 active cases.
According to a press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang, three males who are all residents of Imphal West tested positive for COVID-19 at RIMS and they have been taken to the hospital’s COVID care centre.
Even though health conditions of all the three individuals are stable, all necessary measures have been put in place, said the press release.
With three more cases detected last night followed by another one today, the total number of COVID-19 positive cases has reached 59.
According to information received from RIMS, one man who is a resident of Moirang came to Imphal from Delhi by air on May 27. As he became feverish inside the aeroplane, he was  taken from the quarantine centre of Little Flower School to the isolation ward of RIMS.
His sample was tested on the same day and it turned out to be ‘invalid’. Another test was done yesterday and it again turned out to be ‘invalid’.
Another sample was collected and tested for the third time today and this time the result turned out positive.
Altogether 491 samples were tested for COVID-19 at RIMS today and all of them turned out to be negative except one.
580 other samples were tested at JNIMS today and all of them turned out to be negative. 
28 of the 52 positive cases are being treated at JNIMS while 24 others are undergoing treatment at RIMS.
Meanwhile, the mother-daughter duo from Kamjong who have been undergoing treatment at RIMS for COVID-19 tested negative this morning and as such they were discharged today.
The mother and the daughter returned to Imphal from Delhi on May 16 by bus.
So far, seven people have recovered from COVID-19  in the State.
However, one COVID-19 patient who has been undergoing treatment at RIMS would be injected insulin as his blood-sugar level has grown quite high, sources informed. 
Following the discharge of the mother-son, the State’s total COVID-19 positive cases stand at 52 as of Friday.
