IMPHAL, May 30: Celebrating the first anniversary of Modi Government's second term, Bharatiya Janata Party, Manipur Pradesh has lauded the 'dynamic leadership' of  Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During a press meet held at its office, BJP Manipur Pradesh president K Bhabananda claimed people are calling Narendra Modi's premiership a "golden period in the history of India."
He lauded the Government for taking bold steps such as passing of the Citizenship Amendment Bill, abolition of Triple Talaq, repeal of Article 370 and creation of Ladakh from Jammu & Kashmir as a new Union Territory and the landmark Ayodhya judgement passed by the Supreme Court.
Further, commenting on the Prime Minister's achievements and vision of India, he said that the Modi Government had recently launched Rs 20 lakh crore package amidst COVID-19 lockdown to make India "Atmanirbhar" (self reliant).
As coronavirus hits India, migrant workers, farmers and all affected by the lockdown are being given rice and pulses free for three months-besides many relief packages. Major steps are being taken up to contain the virus.
His (Narendra Modi) leadership during this pandemic is being praised by many world leaders and moreover, many foreign companies and factories in China are shifting their eyes to India after the coronavirus outbreak, he said adding when these companies and factories set foot in India, it would provide huge job opportunity to the youth and improve the Nation's economy.
The BJP Manipur Pradesh along with district Mandals, Morchas and all Karyakartas are celebrating for the first year of Modi Government 2.0 for a week (till June 5), he said  appealing all to promote Prime Minister's vision of a self reliant/'Atmanirbhar' India and join the celebration/observation across districts.
Asnikumar Singh, State vice president, BJP Manipur Pradesh also congratulated Narendra Modi on completion of one year in office of his 2nd term as Prime Minister.
"Today our Prime Minister Narendra Modiji completes one year in office of his second term as our Pradhan Sevak, something which he calls himself rather than Pradhan Mantri. This itself shows the importance and emotional attachment he holds when serving the people of his beloved country. We have come a long way under his leadership. His idea of  Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas is finally starting to solidify in actual practice all over our country," he said.
He lauded the Government's removal of the Article 370 and reminded that the Inner Line Permit System (ILPS) was extended to Manipur last year to protect the interests of the indigenous people.
"This (ILPS) was something which our people had been demanding for decades and previous Governments kept us in limbo with false hopes. Manipur being brought under the ILPS was a historic moment for all of us. This was possible due to the genuine concerns he (Prime Minister Modi)  has for the people of Manipur, the land from where he officially began his journey towards becoming our Pradhan Sevak," he said.
