Security forces observe No Tobacco Day

Troops of Indian Army and Assam Rifle on the occasion of ‘World No Tobacco Day’ organised campaign in Senapati, Tamenglong and Kangpokpi districts.
The campaign was conducted to spread awareness on the harmful effects of tobacco use in the present COVID-19 environment. During the campaign, dangers of tobacco use on health especially during COVID -19 scenario was highlighted through display of banners, posters and distribution of pamphlets. In Tamei, a vehicle based awareness campaign spread the message of harmful effects of tobacco use and protection from COVID 19. In Tamenglong and Senapati, awareness activities were conducted for youth in coordination with CSOs, said PIB (Defence Wing).
