COVID 19 Pandemic-A Thought !

As we all wake up
With the advent of another day,
As darkness departs and dawn steps in,
In the midst of chaos, and dilemmas
Fighting an invisible dictator, the great conqueror ...
Freely  moving unnoticed far and wide, capriciously
Wearing an invisible cloak
Wherever it wishes to...
And hitting hard whosoever it wishes to...
Alas ! It has lost it's head...
It has lost it's tail..
It has lost it's limbs...
It's ability to morph - mutate
Ever changing face,still invisible
Has the new face gained more power ?
Oh ! The great Scientists! Epidemiologists! Social scientists !
And able Administrators all over the globe
All in doldrums... the mystery still unsolved.
Corona -a wizard ?
The  tragedy looming large
Harbinger of doomsday !
What does it mean to humanity ?
Covid-19 - still an ever  evolving dilemma
The mighty ones have lost all their might,
The witty at their wits' end
All efforts - a blind punch in the dark!
Exploiting ourselves..Instead.
And above this Pandora's box,
Are we doing justice to ourselves
In the face of this pandemic ?
Those precious lives, sustainable livelihoods,
The centuries -old moral and ethical values...
All huddling in a big trash bin
Hope. ..after hope...!!
Our only role is to wake
The responsible citizen dozing inside
each one of us
Aware of the dictums,
Fall out of lockdowns, curfews
And ignoring the life-saving measures...
Why not dispense this basic duty.
Why not -“Accept Covid 19 as a reality of life
For, it has become a part of our life.
If mother Nature has sent Covid 19
To  teach us a lesson
Should not we pray to her
To terminate this appalling holocaust
Once Her purpose is fulfilled.
