MCTA donates

The Principal of Manipur College and the Manipur College Teachers' Association (MCTA) today extended monetary assistance to the chairman of the quarantine management committee of Manipur College.
The sum of money to help the management committee arrange lunch and breakfast for the inmates and volunteers of the quarantine centre was formally handed over to Speaker Y Khemchand today at around 10 am by N Ahanjao, general secretary of MCTA on behalf of the college, said a statement of MCTA.
The Principal of the college, W Shambhunath Singh, members of the quarantine management committee and representatives of the college teachers were also present on the occasion, it said.
Mention may be made that the teachers of the college had been rendering service by conducting a cleaning programme along with the management committee at the time of opening the quarantine centre. The college, under the initiative of the Principal, had also prepared hand sanitiser, the statement said while adding that today's monetary help was the third of its notable help extended from the side of Manipur College during the COVID-19 crisis.
