PDS rice lifting and distribution on

Distribution of PDS items, specially rice and dal, continued in the State with 91 quintals of rice and 13 quintals of chana distributed to migrant workers today in Imphal West district, covering 1,820 persons.
Another 140 quintals of rice and 9.5 quintals of chana were also distributed to migrant workers, on 6th of this month, covering 2,800 persons residing in the district.
In Thoubal district too, beneficiaries of Lilong Assembly Constituency were distributed with 105.7 quintals of dal on July 6.
It may be mentioned that PDS items are distributed to the beneficiaries of the Sate under various schemes, namely Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY), National Food Security Act (NFSA), Open Market Sale Scheme (OMSS) among others, to ensure uninterrupted supply of foodgrain during the ongoing lockdown.
