Following the incident where 37 VDF personnel and one police personnel had tested positive for COVID-19 in Jiribam district, the Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA) has appealed to the Government to conduct a mass testing in  Jiribam district and to also review the administration.
Expressing concern, KSA in its statement also appealed all in Jiribam to stay careful and alert and to strictly follow the SOPs issued by the Government.
The sudden rise in the positive cases in Jiri have left the people of the district worried and disturbed, said KSA and opined that the Government should review the administration of the district.
KSA also questioned if proper safety equipments are being provided to the frontline workers by the Government.
Further, as Jiri continues to be the hotspot for returnees,  KSA has requested them to not litter the place during their transit.
The association has also drawn the attention of the Government to set up the COVID Centre Care at Harinagar Model High School, instead of Jiribam District Hospital.
