Two-day webinar workshop on adventure sports held

A valedictory function of the two-day webinar workshop on adventure sports organised by Department of  Physical Education and Sports Science, Manipur University (MU), Fit India Campaign Committee, Fit India Club Manipur, MU in collaboration with Indian Mountaineering Foundation, North East Zone was held today.
Around 200 participants from different parts of the country took part in the programme, said a press release issued by Coordinator, Adventure Sports, MU, Dr L Santosh Singh
On an inaugural day, i.e. July 7, Vice-Chancellor of Manipur University expressed with happiness that adventure is an exciting experience though it has some danger involved.
During the workshop, three speakers Dr K Romeo Meetei, State Awardee, Secretary IMF, NE Zone; Dr L Surjit Singh, former president of MMTA and G Anita Devi, Padmashree Awardee and Chairperson of IMF NE Zone spoke on the topics "Introduction of adventure sports and its importance; "Prospects of adventure sports and adventure tourism in Manipur" and " My journey to Mt Everest" respectively,  it added.
