IMPHAL, Jul 7: State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Police today arrested Dr M Dinesh Singh, Senior Medical Officer, Central Medical Store, Directorate of Health Services who is also the State Nodal Officer, State Health Society, NHM Manipur, in connection with the procurement of medical protective gears issue.
According to a statement of SP Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, during the investigation it has been revealed that Dr M Dinesh Singh played a key role in the procurement of medical protective gears without issuing supply orders from various firms including N 95 masks allocated to District Hospital, Churachandpur which were suspected to be of sub-standard quality.
The accused person will be produced in the Court of Special Judge (PC Act), Imphal West tomorrow, it added.
