Huge cache of arms recovered

IMPHAL,  Jul 8 : Troops of Assam Rifles along with Manipur Police recovered a cache of arms and ammunition near Langthabal in Imphal West district on July 7.
Based on specific inputs regarding concealed weapons and ammunition, the joint team launched a search operation in the area and recovered two packages containing one country made AK Rifle, one Point 32mm automatic Pistol with magazine, one 9mm Carbine with two magazines, one Chinese Hand Grenade, 20 live rounds of assorted ammunition and two hand held radio sets, said the PRO of Assam Rifles in a statement.
The recovered items have been handed over to Singjamei Police Station for further investigations, further said the PRO in the statement.
