Remanded

IMPHAL, Jul 8 : Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal East has remanded murder accused Nongthombam Haridas to judicial remand till July 22.
N Haridas @ Rambo (52), s/o (L) Roton of Mayang Langjing (who was staying at  Lairikyengbam Leikai Salan Leirak) was arrested by police for allegedly stabbing to death one 38-year-old man identified as Thokchom Umachandra, s/o of (L) Tombi of Laipham Khunou Mayai Leikai on July 3.
He was earlier remanded to police custody for five days. Lamphel Police today produced him in the Court praying for judicial custody.
Thokchom Umachandra was stabbed on his left and right chest with a kitchen knife allegedly by N Haridas. He was evacuated to JNIMs where he was declared brought dead by doctors.
