Mizoram tallies 468

AIZAWL, Aug 2 : Mizoram reported the highest single-day spike of COVID-19 cases on Sunday with the detection of 55 cases, reports NNN.
According to the Health Department, with the latest cases, Mizoram has so far reported 468 cases of COVID-19. The State reported the first case on March 24.
The Health Department said that, out of the 55 fresh cases of COVID-19, 54 cases were detected from Aizawl district and one case from Lunglei district.
It can be noted here that Mizoram reported the second highest single day increase of COVID-19 cases on July 10 with the detection of 51 cases.
The Health Department added that out of the 55 fresh cases of COVID-19, 47 are security personnel and the remaining cases are civilians.
According to the latest update on COVID-19, 230 (49.14%) cases are security force personnel and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) staffers while 238 (50.85%) cases are civilians.
Meanwhile, the total number of recovered cases of COVID-19 in the State has risen to 253  on Sunday. With this, the number of active cases stands at 215.
