Corona came calling
All the time
''Twenty-four seven''
I didn't respond
Nor do I intend to.
Insistent and persistent virus
That the corona is
Now knocks at the door
And thundered...
"Aren't you afraid
Aren't you disturbed
Aren't you perturbed and petrified
Aren't you scared
I am the New Big 'C'
Bigger than the known big 'C'
The New (Ab)Normal
Out to wipe out human lives ".
A common man that I am
A responsible citizen to the core
And not one to be intimidated
I countered corona point blank...
"Am not unduly worried for
I maintain hygiene
Adhere to advisories and discipline
And live in a world of post-modernity
A world in sync with nature ".
In no time disappeared
The Coronavirus
The camouflaged corona
Looking for an easy prey.
