KVK organises 'Poshan Abhiyan'

Poshan Abhiyan cum farm women training was conducted today at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Chandel in collaboration with IFFCO, said a release.
The event was attended by Sh Manglem Monsang, 11th Pantha, Member of District Council, Autonomous District Council, Chandel; Roshnichand Devi,CDPO, Department of Social Welfare, Chandel, Government of Manipur and Dr Deepak Singh, Sr Scientist & Head, KVK Chandel as chief guest, guest of honour and president respectively.
The Government of India has launched Poshan Abhiyaan, a multi-ministerial convergence mission with a vision to address malnutrition in a targeted approach to bring nutrition to the centre-stage of the National Development Agenda. And under Poshan Abhiyaan, the month of September is observed as Poshan Maah or Nutrition month every year, since 2018.
40 Anganwadi Workers, 16 farm women of the district and staff of KVK Chandel attended the event.
