Dedication of waiting shed, planting trees mark Seva Saptah end

IMPHAL, Sep 20: A valedictory function of Seva Saptah (September 14-20) was observed in different parts of the State, today
Bishnupur
BJP Kumbi Mandal organised the valedictory function of the service week at Borayangbi Bazar under Borayangbi Gram Panchayat, today.
BJP State president, Professor S Tikendra Singh, secretary L Deven, BJP Bishnupur district committee president RK Bimola Devi, Vice president Kh Lakshman Singh, secretary S Premchandra Meitei, BJP Kumbi Mandal president S Angousana and ex-BJP candidate Kumbi AC Kh Nabakumar Singh attended the programme.
As part of the function, S Premchandra Meitei distributed edible items to 520 households under Borayangbi Gram Panchayat.
On the occasion, S Tikendra said that programme was not organised to take political mileage or win votes in the ensuing election.
The service week is observed to serve the people of this country and also to spread awareness about the schemes of the Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, he added.
A similar programme was also observed at Kwakta public ground, Moirang and planted tree saplings in different locations - Khudekpi, Kwakta PHC complex, Kwakta public ground, SDO Moirang office complex, Moirang PHC complex, Ibudhou Thangjing guest house etc.
At the programme, the gathering condoled the demise of ex-Minister Heshamuddin by observing a minute of silence.
Sewa Saptah (September 14 to 20) was observed in different localities of Bishnupur.
At a programme held at Yumnam Khunou Public Ground under Oinam Kendra, altogether 70 tree saplings were planted.
Oinam AC MLA, L Radhakishore Singh; Keinou Gram Panchayat Pradhan Ng Sovana Devi, Ward Members sing, BJP Oinam Mandal president Th Mangi, BJP Kisan Morcha Manipur Pradesh secretary, Ch Ibohal Singh and several BJP workers attended the programme.

Celebrating the 70th birthday of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP Yaiskul Mandal is also observing Seva Saptah.
As part of the celebration which will continue till September 20 within the Yaiskul Assembly constituency, L Inunganbi Devi, Corporator, Imphal Municipal Corporation Ward No 18 along with N Imochabi Singh, Ward Member and RK Monorama Devi, Ward Member dedicated a waiting shed" today at Singjamei Wangma Bheigyabati Leikai near UYO Club to the people of the area
This waiting shed will be beneficial to the people's of the Singjamei area and all the customers of Singjamei Bazar.
Th Prameshwor Singh, president UYO also attended the programme.
" If there is anybody who can solve the problems being faced by the poor people in the country, it is Narendra Modiji. Therefore, on the birthday of Narendra Modiji, BJP decided to celebrate September 14 to September 20 as " Seva Saptah ", L. Inunganbi Devi said during the programme.
She further stated that the BJP workers hold many programmes across the Nation to help people.
During "Seva Saptah", blood donation camps, health check-ups, eye check-ups and operation camps are organised by the party workers across the Nation.
The BJP workers took an oath to stop using single-use plastics 'completely' and participated in cleanliness drives.
Inunganbi also urged workers and organizations which support the party to donate funds for the betterment of the specially-abled people of the society.
G Arunkumar Sharma, general secretary of the United Youth Organisation, Singjamei Wangma Bheigyabati Leikai thanked L Inunganbi Devi and her team for this waiting shed.

Distributing gifts to differently-abled persons from Khangabok Kendra and planting tree saplings marked the final day of Seva Saptah organised by BJP Khangabok Mandal.
The valedictory ceremony was organised at Sorojini Oil Pump, Khangabok.
Former BJP Manipur president Thokchom Jadumani; BJP Khangabok Mandal president L Tomba Khuman and several party workers attended the programme.
The Party's flag was also hoisted as part of the programme.
