IMPHAL, Sep 20 : The tree plantation drive organised by the Kakching District Union Clubs' Organisation (KADUCO), under the aegis of AMUCO concluded today.
The tree plantation drive started from September 10 and tree saplings were planted at Lamjao Langmeidong, Laimanai with Tejpur United Clubs' Organisation (LATUCO) and at around Langmeidong ground along with Langmeidong Mamang Leikai Citizen Club.
The plantation drive was led by AMUCO president Nando Luwang and brand ambassador of CM's Green Manipur Mission Valentina Elangbam along with members of KADUCO and LATUCO.
From September 10 to September 20, KADUCO in association with local clubs planted tree saplings at 11 places including Kakching Khunou, Pallel, three places at Wabagai, Keirak, two places at Lamjao, Laimanai and Langmeidong.
KADUCO acknowledged the co-operation extended by different clubs in the tree plantation drive as well as the DFO of Thoubal for providing the needed tree saplings to make the tree plantation a success.
