Single day cases drop to just 18

IMPHAL, Jan 14: The State recorded only 18 COVID-19 positive cases during the last 24 hours and there was no report of COVID-19 related death in the State.
The new cases were detected at RIMS, JNIMS, Raj Medicity, Shija Hospital, Escent Diagnostics, Churachandpur and Tamenglong.
The 18 people who have been tested positive belong to Imphal West (6), Imphal East (7), Chura-chandpur (3), Senapati (1) and Tamenglong (1).
On the other hand, 41 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from CAPF (2), home isolation (32), RIMS (3), JNIMS (1), Shija Hospital (1) and Kamjong (2). The cumulative number of positive cases is 28,787 (general population 25,386 and Central security personnel 3,401). This figure includes 446 active cases (general population 419 and Central security personnel 27) and 27,976 discharged cases (general population 24,606 and Central security personnel 3,370). The recovery rate as on Thursday is 97.18 per cent.
