'Anaemia Free Bharat' campaign organised

Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Manipur Prant organised today a one day 'Anaemia Free Bharat' campaign at Chingmeirong Nepali Basti.
The campaign which was organised as a part of 'National Girl Child Day' observation on the theme 'Beti Hai To Sristi Hai' was participated by 26 girl children along with their parents. During the programme, a haemoglobin test for girls between the age of 10 and 18 years was held and details including their name, address, age, height, weight, etc. were also collected.
Lecture on 'Anaemia Free Campaign' was delivered by H Joybi Devi of BVP. Dr S Subash delivered a talk on dental health and good eating practices for girl children. Dr Priscilla and Dr S Harina conducted medical check-up of the participating girls while Dr N Muhindro Singh, Regional Secretary (Sampark), BVP and Linthoingambi Sakha distributed sanitary pads, stationary items, black rice, health drinks, edible items, food and iron supplements to all the participants.
The distributed items were sponsored by M/S Eastern Motors, Imphal and members of BVP, Manipur Prant.
