Thoubal, Jan 17: Certificates were distributed to trainees on completion of training under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) today.
The programme was jointly organised by KB Philanthropy-5 and Youth Organisation Khangabok at Khangabok Mayai Leikai Community hall.
The certificate distribution programme was attended by Thokchom Jadumani Singh, former State vice-president BJP Manipur Pradesh; Soibam Ibochouba Singh, Joint Director, Manipur Society for Skill Development; Kh Rajmohon Singh, Member Khangabok Gram Zilla Parishad; Amarjit Rajkumar, APO, Manipur Society for Skill Development; Laishram Manoranjan Singh, CEO, KB Philanthropy-5; Moirangthem Priyokumar, State secretary, BJP Manipur Pradesh and N Sorojini Devi, secretary, Mahila Morcha, BJP Thoubal district as presidium members.
Certificates on 'Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)' in 'Two Shafts Handloom Weavers and Hand Dyer' were distributed to 800 selected trainees from Khangabok AC by the presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, Thokchom Jadumani Singh expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister N Biren Singh for launching women centred schemes to uplift the financial conditions of the womenfolk with the idea that the development of the Nation as a whole cannot be achieved without them.  He also urged the trainees who completed their training under PMKVY to work hard and take the full benefits offered by the schemes in order to achieve financial independence.
Officials attending the function briefed the attendees about various schemes under PMKVY and gave assurance that they will extend their cooperation in future too.
