Single day positive cases drop to just 11

IMPHAL, Jan 18: The State’s single day positive cases of COVID-19 has further declined to just 11 and there was no report of death caused by the contagion during the last 24 hours.
A press release issued by Additional Director (Health) and COVID-19 Common Control Room spokesman Dr Khoirom Sasheekumar Mangang informed that eight males and three females were tested positive at RIMS, Mother’s Care Hospital, Escent Diagnostics, Raj Medicity, Shija Hospital, Thoubal and Bishnupur.
They belong to Imphal West (3), Imphal East (3), Thoubal (1) and Bishnupur (4).
On the other hand, 58 COVID-19 positive people were discharged during the last 24 hours from home isolation (34), RIMS (1), CCC Lamboi Khongnangkhong (19), Shija Hospital (2) and Raj Medicity (2).
The cumulative number of positive cases is 28,867 (general population 25,449 and Central security personnel 3,418).
This figure includes 296 active cases (general population 256 and Central security personnel 40) and  28,205 discharged cases (general population 24,831 and Central security personnel 3,374).      
While the death toll stands at 366, the recovery rate as on Monday is 97.70 per cent.
