Bodybuilders accorded warm reception

IMPHAL, Oct 9 : Bodybuilders from Manipur who represented India at the 12th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championship 2021 held at Tashkent, Uzbekistan were accorded a warm welcome upon their return at Imphal Airport today.
The reception programme was organised by the All Manipur Body Building Association (AMBBA).
In all four athletes from Manipur, Chingangbam Karishma, Joydev Thongam, Yuvraj Sonar and Yumnam Manisana represented India at the championship and Chingangbam Karishma secured a silver medal in the women's open bodybuilding category.
Joydev Thongam, meanwhile managed fourth place in the junior men's bodybuilding. N Kishan from Manipur also attended the championship as official.
