In a statement issued today, AMTU said the police had arrested Romeo Bungdon on charge that he was a cadre of NSCN (IM) but the outfit had clarified on October 18 that Romeo Bungdon is not a member of the the outfit and had stated that the case against him was unfounded.
AMTU said Romeo Bungdon is a selfless social leader loved by all and he is one of the most dynamic and intellectual tribal leaders who has been working very hard for the welfare of the tribal people despite his critical health condition.
