TENGNOUPAL, Oct 21: The people of Leibi village have expressed their displeasure over the repair of road leading to Leibi under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana ( PMGSY).
Leibi village is located about 18 Km from Imphal-Moreh road in Tengnoupal district.
Speaking to media persons, Leibi village chairman, Th Angkha stated blacktopping of the Khudengthabi-Leibi-Ruilam road was completed 5 years back. However, despite a number of assurances from concerned authorities to repair/maintain the road, no visible work has been seen so far.
He also expressed his anguish over poor work quality in repairing potholes on the road by the concerned authority on October 9 and stated that the repair work was carried out for only 2 days.
While highlighting the importance of the road for Khudengthabi, Langkhongching and Leibi villages, Th Angkha further appealed to the State Government to pay more attention to the PMGSY road.
