Remanded

IMPHAL, Oct 21 : Chief Judicial Magistrate Imphal West has remanded Wairokpam Loyangamba, vice president of AMSU Imphal East district into seven day Police custody for alleged link with a banned underground outfit.
Wairokpam Loyangamba (23), s/o Wairokpam Rajen of Lousangkhong Mayai Leikai in Lamlai was arrested by a team of Imphal West Commando yesterday afternoon from Loushangkhong.
On spot verification, he revealed that he is a member of the banned outfit and was involved in activities like extortion of money, threat to Government employees and businessmen in the name of the outfit, the IO said.
He also added that he had been working under the command of one Ningombam Khelen (24), s/o Ningombam Inaobi of Khewa Phouju Leikai in Pukhao.
