Honorary Doctorate Degree conferred on Y Lakshman Singh

THOUBAL, Oct 23: On the outstanding contribution and performance made Yumnam Lakshman Singh in the field of youth work, community service and submission of a good number of reports, articles and publications, the Global Human Peace University has awarded Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humanities to Yumnam Lakshman Singh, retired District Youth Coordinator of NYKS, Government of India.
Y Lakshman Singh was conferred the degree during a convocation programme of the University held at Pondicherry on Saturday.
Chancellor Dr P Manual, Judge Murugaboopathi, Shanmuga, Sampatkumar IAS, Dr CR Baskaran attended the convocation as presidium members.
It may be mentioned that during the last 10 years, Lakshman Singh had organised more than 1670 youth programmes giving benefit to 1,13,717 youths of Manipur and Nagaland states, supported by 39 voluminous reports. Lakshman was also a recipient of a National award from the President of India in 2013.
Dr Subhasis Saha, Nomination Member of GHPU recommended Yumnam Laksman Singh for the Honorary Doctorate Degree.
