Poll meet

IMPHAL, Oct 23 : District Election Officer Imphal West Th Kirankumar convened a meeting with all the Nodal Officers of the district in connection with the forthcoming 12th State Legislative Assembly election in the courtroom of DEO, Imphal West.
Chairing the meeting, Th Kirankumar stated that the meeting is convened to ensure preparedness for the smooth conduct of the Assembly election.
The DEO had a threadbare discussion with the officers on various issues and activities pertaining to the election like law & order, training of polling staff, transport plan, SVEEP, expenditure, monitoring, communication plan, EVM and postal ballot, material arrangement, model code of conduct, MCMC, media etc through power point presentation. He instructed the Nodal Officers to remain vigilant and acquaint themselves with the guidelines and instructions of the Election Commission of India. The DEO further directed the Nodal Officers to gear up their teams and machinery for the smooth conduct of the Assembly election in the district.
While calling for full cooperation from every staff member, the DEO hinted at strict actions for any dereliction of duty.
