DSU to organise virtual conclave on 'Computer Vision Impelled Technology'

The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, School of Engineering, Dayananda Sagar university (DSU) in collaboration with Atal Incubation Centre, DSU is organising the second edition of virtual conclave on 'Computer Vision Impelled Technology (CVIT)' from October 28 to 30.
Computer Vision, a branch within the larger domain of artificial intelligence, pervades all disciplines. It involves the construction of meaningful representations of physical objects from images. Intelligent technologies for the future, emanating from computer vision, emphasize the need for engineers to re-orient their focus on visualizing environments and subsequently hypothesize artificial general intelligent systems from an existing knowledge base.
 This conclave sets the stage for serving these objectives through paper presentations by researchers, hands-on workshops and keynote speeches.
The workshops encompass hands-on sessions for students by persons from industry and academia on topics such as Introduction to Machine learning, BigData analytics, Machine Learning algorithms for data science.
Keynote speeches will be rendered by scholars from eminent educational institutions like IISC Bengaluru, IIT Bombay, NIT Sikkim, IIIT Dharwad and Cambridge Institute of Technology Bengaluru along with domain experts from corporates like Oracle India Pvt Ltd, Sapiens India Pvt Ltd, Siemens Technology and Services and Empyra Software solutions Pvt Ltd.
The 3-day long conclave will include the inaugural function on October 28 at Dayananda Sagar University campus in the presence of Vice Chancellor Dr KNB Murthy (DSU), Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof R Janardhan (DSU), Registrar Dr Puttamadappa C (DSU), Dean Research Dr MK Banga, Dean Dr A Srinivas (SOE), Chairman Dr Vaibhav A Meshram, (ECE department), Chairmen from various departments and other invited dignitaries.
The keynote speeches, hands-on workshops and paper presentations by researchers, gala event (by Abhinaya club DSU) and valedictory function will be streamed live.
AIC-DSU Foundation, established by DSU is supported by the Atal Innovation Mission functioning under the NITI Aayog. The AIC-DSU is primarily established to bring in a problem-solving culture among students as well as to foster world-class innovation-incubation models. It has its focus areas in: Healthcare, Mobility and Waste Management.
