Ukhrul, Nov 24 : The Tangkhul Katamnao Saklong (TKS) in collaboration with Raphei Katamnao Long (RKL) today felicitated  cyclists Khariksing Adonis Tangpu who brought home gold medals from the National MTB championship-2021 held in Maharashtra.
Adonis bagged 2 gold medals and 1 bronze in XCO and XCT (elite Men and U23) in the recently held 18th National MTB Championship.
The 19 years old Adonis also had records of winning medals on multiple occasions.
He was accorded Best Cyclist Award in the 17th National MTB Championship held in Gadag, Karnataka 2021 for winning 3 gold medals in XCO, XCT and mixed relay (Junior category) events.
He also bagged two gold medals at the 16th National MTB Championship held in Haldwani, Uttarakhand (2019-2020) in XCO and XCT (Junior category) events.
He also represented India in the 12th Junior Mountain Bike Championship held in Chiang Rai, Thailand and 11th junior Mountain Bike Championship held in Kfardebian, Lebanon  in 2019.
SDO, Ukhrul Maibam Suranjoy and TKS president Shimri Raising, commended the young and promising cyclist for his feats and bringing laurels to the State and the Ukhrul district in particular. They also encouraged him to achieve more in his future endeavours.
The felicitation programme was also attended by Tangkhul CSO leaders, families of Adonis and well wishers.
