KFA's Open Night Football TourneySix teams enter semi-final league round

KANGPOKPI, Nov 26: The quarterfinal round of the ongoing Kuki Football Academy's Open Night Football Tournament culminated yesterday night with six teams making themselves to the semi-league round at D Phaihel village.
After Twilang Area Sporting Association, SMT Haipi, Kholjang Youth Club, and Tusam Area Youth Welfare Association Saikul booked the semi-final league round berths, KMT Khongngam and Lalcha Memorial Team also made it to the same stage defeating their respective opponent yesterday.
KMT Khongngam drubbed Chalbung Junior 3-1 in the first match yesterday night to seal the spot in the semifinal league round.
Tongminhao double in the 18th and 29th minutes and Seiminthang's goal in the 66th minute ended the journey of Chalbung Junior in the quarterfinal round despite Thangginlun pulling back a goal for Chalbung Junior in the 39th minute.
In the second match, Motbung Youth Club A team led by an experienced player Paolenlal better known as Paonaldo had a goalless draw with Lalcha Memorial Team during the normal time and the winners were decided via tiebreaker. Lalcha Memorial Team won the shootout 4-3 to progress into the semi-final league round.
The semi-final league round will begin on November 27 evening.
