K Budhi Memorial 3rd Divn Football league gets underway

IMPHAL, Nov 28 : The 1st Late K Budhi Memorial 3rd Division Football League 2021 kicked off today under the aegis of District Football Association Moirang.
The tournament which began today at Hemam Nilamani Ngangkhalampak Sports Complex is participated by 8 teams clubbed into two groups.
The inaugural function of the tournament was graced by Ningthoujam Dinesh, Up-Adhyaksha, Bishnupur District and Mutum Birchandra, ex- member, Ngangkhalawai ZP as presidium members.
The inaugural match (Group A) of the tournament saw NASA, Ngangkhalawai toying AMOFA Academy the game throughout before easing to a 3-0 win.
S Thangremson opened the scoring in the opening minute itself before T Arson added another in the 21st minute to make it 2-0 till the break.
M Lamjingba then scored the decisive goal in the 50th minute as AMOFA Academy were unable to capitalise on any of their chances.
GMC, Phubala will meet SEVA, Naransena in the  Group B opener tomorrow before IMCC, Ithai play SSC, Terakhongsangbi in the second Group A league match.
