Lajong FC , TRAU advance to Shirui Football Cup semis

Ukhrul, Nov 29 : Lajong FC, Shillong and TRAU FC, Imphal beat their rivals and marked their entry into semi finals of the ongoing 29th Shirui Lily Cup.
Lajong FC, Shillong today sealed a 1- 0 win against United Brothers FC, Ukhrul  and became the third team to book a place in the semi-finals. It was a neck to neck competition as both the teams looked forward to the last four berth but it were Lajong FC who earned the spot with Benjamin goal in the 17th  minute.
Although United Brother FC also replied back positively Lajong FC defence made a firm stand to deny any change in the scoreline till the end of the match .
Earlier on Saturday, TRAU FC edged out Yarkhok FC 8-7 via sudden death after both the teams were tied at 1-1 during the regulation time.
