Chingkheinganba wins in U-13 boys singles competition as State Open Badminton C'ship begins

IMPHAL, Nov 30 : The 65th State Open Badminton Championship hosted by the Manipur Badminton Association at the association's indoor stadium, DM College Campus kicked off today.
The opening day of the tournament witnessed T Chingkheinganba of Imphal East, Samson Salam of Bishnupur and Sayonba Angomcha of Imphal East start the U-13 boys singles competition on a winning note.
T Chingkheinganba eased past L Denial Singh of Imphal West 21-6, 21-6 to make it to the next round before Samson got the better of Imphal West's Ricky Khumanthem 21-14, 21-15.
Later, Sayonba cruised to a 21-10, 21-19 win over Rajkumar Satyajit of Bishnupur to book the second round berth.
